FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO DEDICATES 52ND BIRTHDAY TO PRAYERS FOR THE PEACE OF THE STATE AND THE COUNTRY.
Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has dedicated his 52nd birthday to prayers for an end to the rising cases of insecurity in parts of Niger State and the nation at large.
The farmer governor stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after a special prayer session organised in commemoration of his 52nd birthday by the Permanent Secretary, Government House Minna, Hajiya Hauwa Wali.
He expressed concern about how some people have been displaced in some communities due to terrorism, pointing out that there’s no better time to pray for God’s mercy and intervention than now, especially as both Muslims and Christians are observing their respective fasts (Ramadan and Lent).
According to him, “My 52nd birthday has fallen on the 5th day of the Ramadan fast, which also coincides with Lent for Christians. So I dedicate today for special prayers across the state and in all places of worship for God to bring succour to the people
While appreciating God for all He has done for him in life, the farmer governor thanked the organiser of the event, his cabinet members, and all those making contributions towards the success of his administration.
High points of the event were prayers for more years and good health for the farmer governor and his family and peace for the state and the nation, as well as recitation of the Holy Quran by various scholars and some children who were at the event.
