
Simi:NAPTIP Begins Probe Into Lagos Daycare Abuse Allegations
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has ordered an investigation into allegations of child abuse at a daycare centre in Lagos.
NAPTIP Director-General, Binta Adamu Bello, directed operatives to begin an immediate inquiry after fallout continues over resurfaced social media posts allegedly linked to Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi.
In a statement shared on X on Friday, the agency said the decision followed growing public concern over the disturbing claims circulating online, which were linked to the singer.
The statement read, “Director General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Binta Adamu Bello, OON, has directed Operatives of the Agency to commence a full-scale investigation into the alleged Child Molestation and Abuse in a Day-care setting in Lagos, as deduced from the suggestive online post by a popular Nigeria Singer.
