FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO DESCRIBES APC AS A FORMIDABLE PARTY IN NIGER STATE AND NIGERIA.
Niger State Governor has described the All Progressives Congress APC as a formidable party in the state in particular and Nigeria in general.
The farmer governor stated this during the affirmation ceremony of the new State Executive Members of the party in the State at the Hauwa Wali Multipurpose Hall, Government House, Minna.
He said the APC in the state was able to conduct fair and rancor-free congresses from the ward, local government, and state levels, which are clear demonstrations of the unity that exists in the party.
In a statement on Tuesday by Bologi Ibrahim,Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,the farmer governor noted that the new party officials reflect people’s choices across the twenty five local government areas of the state.
“APC is one family in Niger State. We have conducted ourselves well with the ward, local government, and state congresses and with fairness, justice, and equity”, he said.
He appreciated the Congress Committee for overseeing a seamless exercise in the State while calling on dissenting voices to come for dialogue, as doors are open for such.
While welcoming interested individuals to join the APC, the farmer governor assured decampees of equal rights with existing members.
The Vice Chairman of the North Central Zone of the APC, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, described the ward, local government, and state congresses held in the state as a complete success, adding that the new officials were carefully selected through a free, fair, and transparent consensus mode as approved by the national body of the party.
He thanked the farmer governor for his sustained efforts in keeping the flag of APC flying in Niger State.
Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, and the senator representing Niger North Senatorial District, Sen. Abubakar Sani Bello, in an interview, hailed the farmer governor for managing the affairs of the party diligently.
The duo said that the successful affirmation of the new APC state executives is an indication that the new Niger agenda is working and that the APC party will continue to be bound together to ensure good governance.
Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security Sen. Aliyu Abdullahi Sabi also described Niger State as a model in consensus voting and called on other states to borrow a leaf from it.
