
IEYDA Commends President, IGP Over Appointment of AIG Jimoh Moshood to Zone 2
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) has commended the President and the Inspector General of Police over the appointment of Assistant Inspector General of Police, Jimoh Moshood Olohundare, to head Zone 2 Command.
In a statement jointly signed by its National Secretary, Engr. Ahmed Kazeem Jatto, and National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulfatahi Oloyin and obtained by Daily Hibiscus News , the association described the appointment as a reflection of merit and professionalism within the Nigeria Police Force.
According to the statement, Moshood’s elevation is based on his track record of service, discipline, and commitment to national security.
Jatto noted that the AIG’s experience and leadership capacity are expected to strengthen policing operations in Zone 2, which covers Lagos and Ogun states, and improve public confidence in the police.
The association also said the appointment holds significance for the Ilorin Emirate, while reaffirming its support for initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security, and national development.
IEYDA expressed optimism that Moshood’s tenure would enhance operational efficiency and contribute to improved security outcomes.
