Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah, born February 22, 1977 was a brilliant, smart and Courageous Nigerian Army Infantry Officer. He hailed from Edo state.
In September 1988, he gained admission at Command Secondary School Kaduna, then graduated in June 1994.
Oseni Braimah, enrolled at the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1995, and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant on September 2000, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in History.
He was then posted to his unit as a young infantry officer. He rose through the ranks attaining various posting and commands.
He earned a Master’s degree in National Security Management and War Studies from the National Defence University in Islamabad, Pakistan.
He attended Benue State University and received a Master of Arts in International Relations and Strategic Studies. (2004 – 2006)
Master of Arts in Defence Studies from King’s College in London (2016 -2017)
Earned a Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management from the Chartered Management Institute.

Exceptional Courage and Death:
In the early hours of April 9, 2026, a coordinated terrorist attack occurred at the 29th Task Force Brigade Headquarters in Benisheikh, Kaga Local Government Area, Borno State.
The attack began at 12:30 a.m, when ISWAP members attempted to breach the defensive line using explosives and heavy gunfire. Braimah directed the counter-offensive with exceptional courage, professionalism, and firepower.
The forces successfully repelled the attackers, forcing them to retreat. However, the conflict killed the brigade commander, his second-in-command, the brigade imam, and 17 other soldiers.

Legacy:
Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah, left behind a legacy of dedicated service, intellectual depth, frontline leadership, and selfless sacrifice in the Nigerian Army. He served for 26 years and embodied the ideal of a “scholar-soldier” who combined operational expertise with advanced education and diplomatic experience.
Oseni Omoh was a proud alumnus of Command Secondary School Kaduna. His classmates and schoolmates remember him fondly as a fine, sharp, humble and confident man with an outstanding character.
To many, his towering height and calm composure were his most striking features.
His time at Command Secondary School, Kaduna, laid a strong foundation for his later achievements.
Brigadier General Oseni Omoh Braimah embodied the qualities of a seasoned officer who gave his life to defend his country.
