
IEYDA National President Visits Balogun Fulani Ward Development Association, Reaffirms Commitment to Community Development
In continuation of its strategic stakeholder engagement across Ilorin Emirate, the National President of Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Balogun Fulani Ward Development Association, where he was warmly received by the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim (Liman Gbodofu), alongside executive members and other respected stakeholders.
The visit formed part of IEYDA’s ongoing consultations with community leaders and development associations aimed at strengthening partnerships for sustainable growth and development across Ilorin Emirate.
During the interactive session, extensive discussions were held on issues affecting the community, including youth empowerment, education, employment opportunities, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, security, environmental sanitation, healthcare delivery, community infrastructure, peacebuilding, cultural preservation, and strategies for enhancing grassroots participation in development initiatives.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of fostering unity among all segments of the community, encouraging active youth participation in leadership, promoting moral values, and building stronger collaborations between traditional institutions, community development associations, government agencies, and the private sector to accelerate socio-economic development.
Speaking during the visit, the National President, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, commended the Balogun Fulani Ward Development Association under the leadership of Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim (Liman Gbodofu) for its commitment to community service and grassroots development. He reaffirmed IEYDA’s readiness to partner with the Association in implementing programmes that will improve the welfare of residents, create opportunities for young people, support educational advancement, encourage economic empowerment, and promote lasting peace and harmony throughout Ilorin Emirate.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Balogun Fulani Ward Development Association, Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim (Liman Gbodofu), appreciated the visit by the IEYDA leadership and described it as a demonstration of the Association’s dedication to inclusive community engagement. He applauded IEYDA’s numerous developmental initiatives across the Emirate and expressed the Association’s willingness to work closely with IEYDA in executing projects and programmes that will positively impact the lives of the people.
Both organisations reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering unity, strengthening community institutions, mobilising stakeholders for development, and supporting initiatives that will enhance education, economic prosperity, security, social welfare, and sustainable development throughout Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
The visit concluded with prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Balogun Fulani Ward, Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and Nigeria as a whole
