
Kwara SWAN celebrates Bayour Issah ‘Mr Sports’ on Birthday

The Kwara State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has felicitated with veteran sportscaster, publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Sportspro News, Bayour Issah, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement signed by the Kwara SWAN Chairman, Ayodeji Ismail on Tuesday in Ilorin, the association described Issah as a pioneer, pathfinder and an encyclopedia of sports whose remarkable contributions have left an indelible mark on sports journalism and broadcasting in Nigeria.
Kwara SWAN said Issah’s decades of dedication to sports reporting, broadcasting and journalism have made him a reference point for generations of sports journalists and broadcasters, particularly those who have benefited from his wealth of experience and deep knowledge of the sporting landscape.
“Today, we celebrate a veteran, a pioneer and a pathfinder who has contributed immensely to the growth of sports journalism and broadcasting in Nigeria.
“The Dean of Sports Faculty as he is fondly called is not just a sportscaster; he is an encyclopedia of sports whose knowledge, experience and understanding of the game have continued to inspire younger generations.
“Through his journalism and brand, Sportspro News, he has remained committed to giving sports the visibility it deserves while providing a platform for the next generation of journalists to grow,” the statement reads in part.
Kwara SWAN further hailed the veteran, who is also a Fellow of SWAN for his enduring passion for the profession and his remarkable ability to remain relevant in an ever-changing media landscape, describing his journey as one worthy of celebration and emulation.
The association wished the veteran sportscaster sound health, greater accomplishments and many more years of impactful service to sports and journalism.
“We celebrate you today and always, the Dean of the Sports Faculty. May Almighty God continue to strengthen you, grant you wisdom and sound health, and bless you with many more fruitful years” the statement concluded.
