IEYDA Celebrates Teachers on World Teachers’ Day, Applauds Their Contributions to Nation Building
Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), under the auspices of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, felicitates with teachers across Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day.
In a statement jointly signed by the National President, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, and the National Director of Publicity, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulfatahi Oloyin, described Teachers as indispensable builders of society and custodians of knowledge, character and human development.
IEYDA commended teachers for their patience, dedication, sacrifices and commitment to educating and nurturing children and young people, noting that their responsibilities extend beyond the classroom to include the development of character, discipline, values and responsible citizens.
The Association acknowledged that teaching is a noble yet demanding profession, assuring teachers that Allah sees and knows every sacrifice they make in the service of humanity and has His own way of rewarding sincere efforts and dedication.
IEYDA therefore encouraged teachers not to be discouraged by the challenges they encounter in the course of their duties, but to remain committed to excellence, knowing that the positive impact they make on the lives of their students constitutes a lasting legacy that will continue to speak for them across generations.
Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association further called on governments at all levels, educational institutions, parents and other stakeholders to continually prioritise the welfare, dignity, professional development and working conditions of teachers, stressing that investing in teachers is an investment in the future of society.
IEYDA particularly appreciated Teachers across the World for their invaluable contributions to education and human capital development, while praying that Allah continues to strengthen them, bless their efforts, reward their sacrifices abundantly and grant them success in this life and the Hereafter.
