Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah: A Monumental Portrait of Integrity

By AbdurRaheem Sa’ad Dembo, anipr

Earlier on today, 16th April, 2025, Dr Murtala Raheem, the Personal Assistant to the Emir of Ilorin, hinted on his official Facebook page that the Emir, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, had organized a special prayer for Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah. He also added that a good number of Ilorin Emirate Professors attended the event through a live video evidence.

Sincerely, Prof. Na’Allah deserves more prayers, because he has succeeded in positioning himself as a good ambassador of not only the Ilorin Emirate, but also the entire country. This, indeed, is against the backdrop of his proven leadership integrity and administrative prudence.

He was the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete and gave a solid foundation to the Ivory tower. Today you cannot talk about KWASU without mentioning his name. He is a pragmatic and hardworking administrator. No matter what you bring, Na’Allah would not cut the corner. He gives every part of his job due diligence and attention.

Fundamentally, if anyone has followed his trajectories in KWASU and UniAbuja, one would decipher with all alacrity that he is a monumental portrait of integrity.

Na’Allah’s integrity is in tandem with the words of Gordon Tredgold, a globally recognized Leadership Expert, when he said “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not”

He has served two different universities, one is state and the other one is federal; out of these two none has accused Na’Allah of corruption and embezzlement. The reason is obvious and one can deduce it from my earlier assertion on him.

Similarly, Na’Allah is an embodiment of sincerity, understanding, and dignity. Within his capacity he has offered employment opportunities to many people, even outside his community.

May I, therefore, opine that since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is working hard to change the governance narrative and position Nigeria on a better pedestal, he certainly needs Prof. Na’Allah’s type of integrity to achieve his Renewed Hope Agenda. Engaging such a man of integrity and sincerity would go a long way to help his administration and boost public confidence.

I say Ameen to all prayers offered for him at Emir’s palace today and pray Allah(SWT) sustains him on the path of good.
