A Tribute to Late Mallam Ahmed Durosinlo’un Muhammed(Alfa Nurse)
By AbdurRaheem Sa’ad Dembo, anipr
Last night I got the news of the demise of brother Ahmed Muhammed. I couldn’t post it even on social media because of the shock. I only changed my profile picture to black with few words,in a way to mourn him. He died at his prime. A professional Nurse with fear of Allah.
His death came,a day after we lost one of our oldest fathers and grand father, Mallam Muhammad Kawu Baba.May Allah rest his soul.
Furthermore,People call him Alfa Nurse. He treated many free of charge, even if you ask him, he will just tell you to bring any amount you can afford. In some cases he would only collect money he used to buy the injection. In other words, he offered affordable treatment to people.Very selfless and has utmost contentment.
He was very friendly. You can’t see him everywhere, because he was a very quiet person and always busy with work ,and attending to people.Whenever I want to change my medicated glasses, I will call him and he would respond immediately. He was a great man of humility.
Since I have grown up and I knew him as a brother, I have never seen him quarrelling with anyone. If you are looking for an example of a man who doesn’t want trouble at all, he would the the first person to be mentioned.
During his janaza prayer on Saturday morning in Ilorin, his colleagues also confirmed his simplicity, integrity, and humility.
He lived an impactful life;he contributed a lot to the well being of the people in the community. It is not until you are a rich man before you make impacts; through your profession you can make the society happy.
Significantly, today we live in an era where people advertently or inadvertently forget the dead, so it is imperative to touch people’s lives within your capacity. It will be the only thing people would remember you for.
Most importantly, It is a public opinion that Mallam Ahmed Muhammed Durosinlo’un is a man of taqwa and had contributed a lot to the community.
I related with Boda a lot. In 2007 when I was serving in Damaturu i visited the then Chairman of Hospital Management Board. It was one Hajiya but I have forgotten her name. The second time I was at her office she told me in clear terms, “Corper you want me to employ your brother but I have not seen him”. Thereafter, I told Hajiya he would come. He made it to Damaturu all the way from Ilorin. Even though the employment didn’t work out, he made an effort. He later got employment under the Kwara state government.
His death has confirmed and authenticated the fleeting nature of our existence. We pray Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him aljannah firdaus.May Allah give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
I will miss him a lot, because he was a friend of humanity
Adieu Mallam Ahmed Durosinlo’un Muhammed (Boda Alfa Nurse)
