KWASU VC Holds Reception for Newly Promoted Professors
Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, has formally welcomed 3 newly promoted professors into the professorial fold with a reception on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the council chamber of the KWASU Business School.

The new professors who were accompanied by their wives to the reception are Professor Sheu Abdulganiyu Salau and Mrs. Aminat Abdulganiyu, Professor Olayiwola Gafaru Olorisade and Mrs. Folasade Olorisade, and Professor Moshood Zakariyah and Dr. Rahmat Folasade Zakariyah.
The Vice-Chancellor, while congratulating the new professors on attaining the peak of academic pursuits, said the position is a path to new opportunities and career advancement as researchers and administrators, urging the new professors not to relent in research endeavours.
He noted that the skills and knowledge they had acquired as teachers and researchers should not be left dormant but should be used to mentor younger researchers for the benefit of humanity adding that the university will readily support innovative research proposals. He further urged the professors to form interdisciplinary collaborative research teams in the advancement of the mission of the university.
Professor Shehu Salau, who spoke on behalf of the honorees, expressed their appreciation to the management in organising the reception. He thanked the Vice-Chancellor and other Principal Officers of the university for their commitment to the welfare of staff of the university, noting that the regular promotion enjoyed by staff of the institution was an encouragement for staff to give more to the system.
