Senator Mustapha felicitates Muslims on Eid al-Adha celebration

As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid al-Adha, the lawmaker representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has extended his greetings to the Muslim Ummah, particularly the faithful in his constituency.

In a statement issued on Thursday through his media assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, Senator Mustapha described Eid al-Adha as a significant Islamic festival that honors Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son.

He emphasized the importance of emulating the values of sacrifice, obedience and generosity embodied in the sacred festival, urging Muslims to practice these virtues in their daily lives to promote unity, peace, and progress in Nigeria.

The Senator, who is the Turaki of Ilorin, extended special greetings to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, and the Kwara State Council of Ulamah for their continued spiritual guidance and fatherly roles in preserving the Islamic and cultural heritage of the state.

He also offered special prayers for the pilgrims performing Hajj, asking Almighty Allah to accept their acts of worship and grant them a safe return to their families and loved ones.

The lawmaker encouraged Muslims to continue showing love and kindness to the less privileged and to remain committed in their prayers for the peace, stability and progress of the nation.

He wished all Muslims a peaceful, joyous and spiritually rewarding Eid al-Adha celebration.
