
IEYDA Commends Sen. Saliu Mustapha Over Solar Power Project at Ilorin Central Mosque
The Ilorin Emirate Youths Development Association (IEYDA) under the auspices of Emir of Ilorin Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR has applauded the Turaki of Ilorin and Senator representing Kwara Central, Saliu Mustapha, for facilitating the installation of a multi-million naira solar-powered mini-grid system at the Ilorin Central Jum’ah Mosque.
In a press statement signed by national president Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunmo and made available to Daily Hibiscus news on Friday by national publicity secretary , Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulfatahi Oloyin
The association described the development as a laudable step that would not only enhance worship but also support the Emir’s vision of making the mosque a model of sustainability and unity.
IEYDA further noted that the intervention would ensure uninterrupted power supply to the mosque and parts of the Emir’s Palace, significantly reducing energy costs while keeping the edifice illuminated for residents, visitors, and tourists.
The group commended Senator Mustapha for his continuous commitment to the progress of Ilorin Emirate and called on other stakeholders to emulate his efforts in supporting projects that uplift the community.
