IEYDA Congratulates Prof. Ibrahim Gambari on AU High-Level Panel Appointment
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), under the auspices of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, has congratulated Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, CFR, on his appointment as a member of the African Union (AU) High-Level Panel of Eminent Experts.
Professor Gambari, a distinguished scholar, diplomat, and former Chief of Staff to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, was appointed by the AU to contribute to the comprehensive review of the Union’s Governance, Peace, and Security Frameworks.
In a statement signed by its National President, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo and made available to Daily Hibiscus News through National Publicity Secretary of IEYDA Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulfatahi Oloyin, IEYDA described the appointment as “a well-deserved recognition of Professor Gambari’s global reputation, integrity, and wealth of experience in international diplomacy and peacebuilding.”
The association further noted that Gambari’s new role is not only a personal honour but also a source of pride to the Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large.
“We are confident that Professor Gambari’s wisdom, commitment, and leadership will add immense value to the AU’s quest for African-led solutions to governance and security challenges,” the statement read.
IEYDA prayed for Allah’s guidance and wisdom for the renowned diplomat as he discharges this noble responsibility, reaffirming its pride in his achievements and continuous service to humanity.
