
FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO FLAGS OFF APC E-REGISTRATION EXERCISE IN NIGER STATE, VALIDATES HIS MEMBERSHIP.
Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has flagged off the All Progressives Congress e-registration in the state with the validation of his membership with the party.
The flag off ceremony of the exercise was held at the Council Chamber of Government House Minna in the presence of Party stalwarts in the National and State levels as well as top government officials.
In a statement on Thursday by Bologi Ibrahim,Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,The farmer governor, described the exercise as a welcome development that is easy and flexible, pointing out that it will promote transparency and also ensure that the ruling party remains the best in the country.
He announced the donation of N160 million, 300 motorcycles, and 300 tablets as logistical support to ensure a smooth and successful exercise across the state.
The farmer governor appreciated the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Mohammed Sani Musa for donating N24.9 million to support the exercise in his Senatorial Zone and enjoined other stakeholders to work assiduously to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
He called on all APC members to go back to their various wards to validate their registration and that the door is open for new members to register.
The National Vice Chairman, North-Central Zone of the APC, Alh. Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, said the e-registration is a reflection of the reforms taking place in the ruling party and that the e-registration will accommodate new members, strengthen the existing party structure, and improve its data-base.
The Niger State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Alh. Nma Kolo, applauded the exercise, saying it’s a good innovation.
He expressed optimism that the exercise will achieve the desired objectives, as the party has already set up a machinery in motion that would fast-track the generation of National Identity Number (NIN) for members which is one of the requirements for the APC e-registration.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC national leadership had earlier approved an e-registration for all its members across the country to validate their membership and to registere new ones ahead of the 2027 general elections
