CLTC Strengthens Partnership with Man O’ War Diaspora Forum
The Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration with the Man O’ War movement, as the Deputy Coordinator of the Man O’ War Diaspora Forum, DMC Nelson Dixon Osarobo, paid a courtesy visit to the Centre.
The Director-General of CLTC, Hon. Rinsola Abiola, disclosed this in a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, highlighting the strategic importance of the engagement to the Centre’s core mandate.
According to Abiola, the visit was marked by the presentation of souvenirs and essential medical items produced by the Training, Operations and Rescue Unit of the Man O’ War Diaspora Forum, a gesture she described as both thoughtful and symbolic of the growing partnership between both institutions.
I received the Deputy Coordinator of the Man O’ War Diaspora Forum, DMC Nelson Dixon Osarobo, who paid a courtesy visit to present souvenirs and essential medical items designed and produced by the Training, Operations & Rescue Unit,” Abiola stated.
She noted that the meeting further reinforced CLTC’s supervisory role over Man O’ War activities, which she described as a critical component of the Centre’s statutory responsibilities.
Also present at the meeting was the Director of Operations and Rescue at CLTC, Dr. Alero Adjekota, who heads the department responsible for Man O’ War affairs. Abiola said Adjekota’s presence underscored the operational relevance of the visit and the need for sustained coordination in areas of training, discipline and emergency response.
Emphasising the value of institutional support, the CLTC boss expressed appreciation to the Man O’ War Command for its cooperation and commitment so far.
“Man O’ War supervision is a key component of our mandate at CLTC, and I am very thankful for the Command’s support so far,” she added.
Observers say the engagement signals a renewed focus on capacity building, discipline and service delivery within youth-oriented and paramilitary organisations under CLTC’s oversight, at a time when leadership training and emergency preparedness are increasingly vital to national development.
With such collaborations gaining momentum, stakeholders are optimistic that sustained synergy between CLTC and the Man O’ War movement will translate into stronger institutions and more impactful leadership training across the country.
