Omotola: Why you shouldn’t marry into a family that doesn’t accept you
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, the Nigerian actress, has advised people against marrying into families that do not accept them.
Speaking on The Morayo Show, the veteran film star advised that while it is worth making a genuine effort to win over disapproving in-laws, such efforts can prove futile against deep-seated bias.
She warned that prejudice rooted in ethnicity, background, or origin often resists even the most sincere overtures.
Omotola stated that while a handful of families may eventually soften, such reversals are often unstable.
