Members of OKESUNA Primary School Old Students Association have appealed to Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to facilitate the reopening of Kwara Polytechnic in order to allow students write their first semester exams, and reinstate the suspended Rector,Engineer Mohamed Jimoh Abdul
This was contained in a joint statement on Saturday by the President and Secretary of the Association, Muhammad-Alfa Ayodele Ibrahim and Mallam Ishola Abubakar, and obtained by Daily Hibiscus News,
Part of the statement read,”As other sister institutions are currently conducting exams, the continued closure of Kwara State Polytechnic is detrimental to the academic calendar and future prospects of our students. Many HND students are at risk of missing the NYSC deadline, a critical milestone in their academic and professional journey.”
“In light of this, we respectfully request:
The immediate re-opening of Kwara State Polytechnic to enable students to commence their exams and salvage the academic session.
The re-recall of Rector EGNR Mohammed Jimoh Abdul, an administrator par excellence, whose leadership has propelled Kwarapoly to become one of Nigeria’s leading polytechnics.”
The Association said these measures would restore academic stability, ensure students meet their targets, and further enhance the institution’s reputation.
