2026 RAMADAN: FARMER GOV BAGO CONGRATULATES MUSLIM UMMAH

Niger State Governor Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates all Muslim ummah the world over on the commencement of the 2026 Ramadan on the 18th of February, 2026, following the report on moonsighting and declaration by the leadership of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

In a Ramadan message on Tuesday through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the farmer governor, enjoins Muslim faithful to take advantage of the Ramadan fast , which is a special season for their spiritual upliftment

He charged the Muslim Ummah to deepen their supplications to Allah in this season for His intervention to bring a lasting solution to the security challenges bedevilling the state and other parts of the country.

The farmer governor also urged the Muslim ummah to pray for leaders at all levels for wisdom and Allah’s guidance to formulate and implement policies and programmes that have direct bearing on the citizens.

While highlighting the inherent benefits of Ramadan, farmer governor Bago reminded the Muslim ummah of the need to build on their good habits and desist from bad ones.

He reassured the people of the state of his administration’s unrelenting efforts towards building a prosperous New Niger for the betterment of all.
