Breaking:BUK Alumni Presidency:Aliyu Abdurasheed Takes the baton
Alhaji Aliyu Abdurasheed has been sworn in as the new President of Bayero University Kano Alumni Association, Ilorin Emirate Chapter.The event which took place today at the IEDPU National Headquarters, Geri Alimi, Ilorin.
He succeeded Alhaji AbdulGaniy Ayoku whose tenure had recorded remarkable progress in the history of the Alumni Association.
The event witnessed the presence of new executive members and other members of the Alumni Association.
Mr Olalekan Abdulkadir who spoke on behalf of the outgoing President, Alhaji AbdulGaniy Ayoku, thanked the entire house for their support including the elders, and urged support for the new executive members.
The man of the moment and the new president, Alhaji Aliyu while giving his speech assured the house that he would put his best and thanked the outgoing members for their hard work, perseverance and tenacity. He urged everyone to support him. In his words, “we have the potential if we cooperate with one another. We must know what we are doing; because this is an opportunity to give back to our society financially and intellectually.
He said Ilorin is known for peace and prayed to Allah to continue grant Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari good health.
He also prayed for those who are doing well for Allah to sustain their ways and those who are still struggling among the Alumni Association for Allah to open His door of favour for them.
He concluded by saying “Ilorin will continue to prosper
