
IEYDA Congratulates Comrade Issa Aremu Says His Commitment and Dedication Earn Him Reappointment
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), under the auspices of the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has congratulated Comrade Issa Obalowu Aremu, mni, on his reappointment as the Director-General of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin.
In a statement signed by the IEYDA National President, Alhaji Muhammad Uthman Jagunmo, and obtained by Daily Hibiscus news online through Publicity Secretary of the Association Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulfatahi-Oloyin, described Aremu’s reappointment as well-deserved, citing his strides in repositioning MINILS during his first term.
The statement commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for retaining Comrade Aremu, noting that the decision reflects a vote of confidence in his leadership and commitment to the development of labour studies and capacity-building across Nigeria.
While celebrating the reappointment, IEYDA also used the opportunity to urge Comrade Aremu to place greater emphasis on staff welfare in his second term. The association noted that an empowered and well-motivated workforce is critical to achieving the institute’s vision of excellence in labour education and training.
“Comrade Aremu has proven to be a visionary leader whose first term brought visible progress to MINILS. We are confident he will do more this time, especially in enhancing the welfare and capacity of the staff,” the statement added.
IEYDA reaffirmed its support for the institute and pledged continued collaboration in promoting youth and workforce development within the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
