INVESTITURE: FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO GETS HONORARY FELLOWSHIP OF THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS.
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has been inducted as an Honorary Fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA).
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,Bologi Ibrahim,the investiture was done during a Gala and Awards Night, organised by the Institute in Abuja.
Farmer Governor Umaru Bago who described his investiture as a push to serve humanity better, said to whom much is given, much is expected.
He commended the NIA for finding him worthy of the honour and promised to protect it integrity to ensure more success.
The farmer Governor was Honoured alongside the former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen.
The President of NIA, Arc. Mobolaji Adeniyi in her remarks said the Farmer Governor and other Honorees were carefully selected for the investiture based on their support to the Institute and impactful service to humanity.
In their separate responses shortly after the Investiture, the former President, Ebele Jonathan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, appreciated the NIA for the honour, and promised to partner with the Institute for efficient and effective service delivery.
Similarly, the National Association of Architecture Students used the forum to present an Award of excellence to the farmer Governor in recognition of his remarkable, unwavering dedication and inspiring leadership role to younger generation .
According to the statement,the event also featured Oath taking, presentation of Certificates and plaques to honourees.
Some members of the State Executive Council including the Secretary to the State Government Abubakar Usman, Deputy Chief of Staff, Commissioners Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, friends and well wishers attended the event.
