Why I defected to APC – Ishowo
Former spokesperson of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Mr. Abdulateef Ishowo, says his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) was driven by the party’s progressive ideals and commitment to youth development.
Announcing his defection in a statement released in Ilorin on Monday, Ishowo explained that he no longer found his political beliefs aligned with the PDP, describing the APC as a more reform-oriented and youth-focused platform.
“There is time for everything. It is time to move and align with a progressive-minded party which I believe will move Kwara to the next stage. That is the APC. It has robust programs for the youth, especially the ones in Kwara,” he stated.
Ishowo added that his support for the APC is rooted in the party’s leadership style and governance model, which he believes will continue to deliver good governance beyond 2027.
