Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital MD Congratulates Oloriegbe on NHIA Appointment
The Medical Director Of Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Budo-Egba, Professor Baba Awoye Issa has congratulated Senator -Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe on his well-deserved appointment as the Chairman of the Board for the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu , GCFR.

Oloriegbe’s appointment is not just a recognition of his outstanding track record; it is a reflection of his unwavering dedication to advancing healthcare reform in Nigeria. Throughout his tenure as a distinguished member of the 9th Senate and as the esteemed Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, he was instrumental in pioneering critical reforms that transformed the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) into the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). This transition marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s healthcare landscape, aiming to enhance the accessibility and quality of healthcare services for all citizens.”
He said Oloriegbe’s visionary leadership and astute understanding of health policy have greatly influenced numerous key initiatives, including the legislative groundwork that facilitated the establishment of our institution. He has consistently championed policies that promote universal health coverage, elevate healthcare standards, and ensure the allocation of resources where they are needed most.
