Akanbi Was Tested by Allah But Stood firmly With Islam -Sheikh Al-Misri

Sheikh Ibrahim Nurudeen Zubair Almisri has disclosed that late Mallam Abdulrazaq Akanbi of NTA, Ilorin was tested by Allah during his lifetime but never shook in his iman

Almisri made the remark while delivering a sermon at the fidau organised for the late Akanbi on Tuesday at his family house,Olowoyi compound, Eruda,Alapata, Ilorin.

The Islamic scholar explained that Mallam Akanbi came from a large family and was blessed with only one daughter but she did not survive him. He said despite that, Abdulrazaq remained firmly in the fold of Islam.

Sheikh Almisri reminded mourners about the futility and vanity of this world, and urged them to stick to the ways of Allah.

The Islamic scholar prayed to Allah to forgive Akanbi his shortcomings and grant him aljannah firdaus.

Meanwhile, Imam of Elegede, Doctor Abdul-hameed Thani led the congregation in the rendition of some portions of glorious Qur’an to supplicate to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest.

The messages from Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari,CFR, Engineer Alapansanpa, Danmasanin of Ilorin, Turaki of Ilorin, Senator Saliu Mustapha, Comerade Issa Aremu, Shettima of Ilorin and others were all delivered at the event.

The fidau witnessed large out of mourners from his professional colleagues, friends Idiagbede,Idiaro, Eruda, Alapata, Sanni Okin communities and beyond.

Late Mallam Abdulrazaq Akanbi Of NTA died on 11th October, 2025 and survived by his wife and two grandchildren.
