
Barau Mourns District Head of Dorayi, Alhaji Kabiru Bayero
Deputy Senate President,Jibrin Barau, has mourned the passing of the District Head of Dorayi in Kano State, Alhaji Shehu Kabiru Bayero, who passed away in Egypt today.
The Kano State Emirate Council, in a statement issued this evening, announced the demise of the district head, who held the traditional title of Barde Kerarriyar in the emirate.
According to a statement by Barau, the late District Head, who rose to the rank of Commissioner in the Nigeria Police Force, was a devoted Muslim who lived a life dedicated to the service of Allah (SWT) and humanity.
While serving as Police Commissioner in Gombe and Osun States, he led both commands with zeal, candour, and dedication, earning the admiration of the people of the two states.
“As District Head, including at one time in Gwarzo, in my Senatorial District, the welfare and well-being of his subjects remained paramount to him. He served with compassion, dignity, and a deep sense of responsibility.”
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf; the Kano State Emirate Council; the people of Dorayi; and the entire people of our beloved Kano State.”Barau stated
