Birthday: IEDPU hails Senator Saliu Mustapha as a blessing to Ilorin Emirate

The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has felicitated with the Turaki of Ilorin and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Production Services and Rural Development, Senator Saliu Mustapha, on the occasion of his 53rd birthday, which coincides with today, Thursday, September 25, 2025.

In a press statement released and signed on Thursday by the Union’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, Alhaji Abdulmalik described Senator Mustapha as a distinguished son of Ilorin who has also been a blessing to the community.

He added that the Distinguished Senator has also been making the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District proud before and since his election into the National Assembly about three years ago.

Alhaji Abdulmalik recalled several legislative interventions of the Senator, particularly the recent facilitation of multimillion naira solar-power to the Ilorin Central Jumaat Mosque and the annual scholarship awards to hundreds of undergraduates across the Emirate, among others.

While specifically commending the Senator for his support to the Union over the years, the community leader urged Senator Mustapha to continue to offer his best to the community for the people of the senatorial district to enable his constituents reap the dividends of democracy maximally.

The Union wished Senator Mustapha more years of sound health and greater achievements.
