
BUK, Jaiz Bank Deepen Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Growth
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen its long-standing partnership with Jaiz Bank, Plc in a bid to advance academic, infrastructural and financial development in the institution.
This was contained in a BUK bulletin dated 31st October,2025 and obtained by Daily Hibiscus news online,the Vice Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, fsi, gave the assurance while receiving a delegation from the Bank led by the Divisional Head, North West, Hajiya Na’imatu Abdullahi, during a courtesy visit to his office on Monday, 20th October, 2025.
Professor Musa described Jaiz Bank as one of Nigeria’s most reliable and transparent financial institutions, commending its ethical standards and consistency in promoting non-interest banking.
He noted that Bayero University’s institutional blueprint focused on excellence, innovation and sustainable growth, which aligned perfectly with the Bank’s values. “Jaiz Bank has demonstrated reliability, innovation, and a genuine commitment to national development. Our partner
ship with such strategic stakeholders will no doubt help us achieve our vision of academic excellence and community impact,” he stated.
In her remarks, Hajiya Na’imatu Abdullahi expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to her team and reaffirmed Jaiz Bank’s commitment to deepening its collaboration with BUK. She highlighted the historic relationship between the two institutions, noting that the land for the Bank’s Kabuga branch was acquired from the University and several staff members were proud BUK alumni. She added that Jaiz Bank had continued to support critical sectors of the Nigerian economy — including agriculture, real estate, manufacturing and oil and gas — in line with its mandate to promote ethical financing and sustainable development.
