
Chief Imam of Ilorin Commends AVM Oluwatoyin Ibrahim’s Community Development Efforts
The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Imam Dasuki, has commended retired Air Vice Marshal Oluwatoyin Ibrahim for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and community development across the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.
The commendation came when the retired senior military officer, a former Chief of Defence Space Administration, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Imam to congratulate him on his appointment by the Emir of Ilorin and to felicitate with him ahead of his official turbaning ceremony scheduled for Friday.
During the visit, the Chief Imam praised AVM Ibrahim’s longstanding contributions to the development of communities through philanthropic interventions, describing his efforts as impactful and worthy of emulation.
He noted that the retired Air Vice Marshal has consistently demonstrated a passion for the welfare of the people by supporting community development initiatives and humanitarian causes across the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.
The foremost Islamic cleric prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection and greater opportunities for AVM Ibrahim to sustain his service to humanity and contribute even more to the development of Kwara State.
Earlier, AVM Ibrahim said he visited the Chief Imam to formally congratulate him on his emergence as the spiritual leader of the Ilorin Emirate and to wish him a successful official turbaning ceremony.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the Chief Imam wisdom, sound health and divine guidance in the discharge of his religious and moral responsibilities, while also praying for enduring peace, unity and progress in the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.
The visit underscored the enduring relationship between traditional, religious and community leaders, as both men reaffirmed the need for collective efforts toward promoting peace, development and the well-being of the people.
