CLTC DG, Rinsola Abiola Receives Young Women Leaders, Reaffirms Commitment to Empowerment

Hon. Rinsola Abiola, Director-General of the Citizenship & Leadership Training Centre (CLTC), has received participants of the Young Women’s Leadership and Business Development Training on a courtesy and appreciation visit.

Speaking on the visit, Hon. Abiola explained that the training was a post–Young Women’s Leadership Conference (YWLC) initiative she “conceptualised and implemented during my previous role as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership.” She noted that the programme selected “20 young women for intensive leadership and business development training and supported with grants of N500,000 each to strengthen and scale their businesses.”

According to her, the visit provided an opportunity to assess the impact of the initiative. “It was truly rewarding to hear firsthand how the post-conference leadership training and business grants have contributed to the growth of their enterprises and strengthened their confidence and approach to business,” she said. She added that “seeing young women support one another and thrive through community and sisterhood is always inspiring.”

Hon. Abiola expressed appreciation for the gesture of the beneficiaries, stating, “I’m grateful for the thoughtful gifts and kind words, and I commend their resilience, unity and commitment to growth.” She further disclosed that she “reaffirmed my support and assured them of my continued availability for guidance, mentorship and opportunities for collaboration in relevant activities of the Centre.”

Reiterating her passion for youth and gender inclusion, the CLTC Director-General stressed that “empowering young women to lead, build and succeed remains a priority—and I am proud of how far they have come.”
