
FARMER GOV BAGO CELEBRATES NIGER SPEAKER ON HIS TURBANING AS DOKAJIN BORGU.
Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, on his turbaning as the Dokajin Borgu by the Emir of Borgu, Dr Mohammed Sani Haliru Dantoro Kitoro IV.
In a statement on Saturday through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the farmer governor, described the traditional title conferred on the Speaker as deserving and apt.
He said turbaning Sarkindaji as the Dokajin Borgu speaks of his invaluable contributions to the Emirate, the Niger North senatorial district, and the entire state.
The farmer governor further stated that the traditional title reflects the passion and commitment of the Speaker towards a better and greater Niger state.
He expressed confidence that the traditional title will spur the Speaker to do more for humanity.
The farmer governor reassured the Speaker of his unflinching support for the legislative arm of government to bring about good governance.
He also celebrated other prominent sons within and outside the Borgu Emirate, like a retired Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration, Ahmed Tijani Mohammed, and Engineer Iliyasu Abdullahi Wara, the Director of Operations, National Hydro Power Producing Area Development Commission (NHYPPADEC), who were turbaned as Ubandawakin Borgu and District Head of Lumma, respectively, among others.
The farmer governor applauded the Emir of Borgu for rewarding hard work, commitment, and selfless service, pointing out that it’s a secret to more impactful service.
