Farmer Groups While Presenting nomination form to Gov Bago

FARMER GROUPS IN NIGER STATE PRESENT APC EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AND NOMINATION FORMS TO FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO.

Representatives of all group of farmers across the 25 Local Government Areas of the State have purchased the APC expression of interest and nomination forms to farmer Umaru Bago to re-contest in next year’s gubernatorial election on the platform of the APC.

Leader of the group who is also the Chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria , Niger State Chapter and Kusodu Nupe, Muhammad Manko Abubakar who presented the forms to the farmer governor said, farmers in Niger State met and deemed it necessary to purchase the form for him because of his immense support to farmers across the State.

He said, since the coming of his administration, farmers have felt his impact through the agricultural transformation adding that, he has shown exemplary leadership and lived up to expectations as a farmer.

Muhammad Manko disclosed that the State presently has over 2.7 million farmers and each and every one of the farmers will support and vote for him in next year’s general elections.

The Vice Chairman, All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Niger State Chapter, Usman Saba in his remarks said all farmers in Niger State are confident of the farmer Governor’s remarkable achievements and remain optimistic that he will continue to revamp the agricultural sector if he is given another chance of leadership.

The farmer Governor was also given the title of Gatan Manoman Niger state by the farmers of the State.

Responding,farmer Umaru Bago appreciated the farmer groups for the gesture and acknowledged their immense contribution not only to the stability of Niger State and Nigeria, but the whole of West Africa.

Farmer Umaru Bago thanked the farmers for their continuous support to his administration and promised to always support them achieve the desired goals.

The farmer Governor also said,
despite the challenges facing the Country in terms of agriculture, he remains committed and called on other farmers to persevere as the State gets ready for the next farming season.

He said, the idea to distribute tractors, combined harvesters,hand tillers and fertilisers for the upcoming season is the administration’s commitment to the agricultural transformation of the State hoping that the present number of 2.7 million farmers in the State will extend to 4.3 million by 2028.
