IEYDA MOURNS THE PASSING OF HER HIGHNESS QUEEN GONI SOBA SULU-GAMBARI, the Mother of Prince Modibboh
…Commiserates with the Sulu-Gambari Royal Dynasty and Prays for Al-Jannatul Firdaus
Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), under the auspices of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, has expressed heartfelt sympathy over the passing of Her Highness, Queen Goni Soba Sulu-Gambari, the Mother of Prince Modibboh Sulu Gambari which occurred this morning.
In a statement jointly signed by the National President, Alh. Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, and the National Director of Publicity, Alh. Abdullahi Abdulfatahi Oloyin, described the death of Her Highness as a painful and irreplaceable loss to the Sulu-Gambari Royal Dynasty and the entire Ilorin Emirate.
Her Highness was the beloved wife of the 9th Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Shehu AbdulQadir Sulu-Gambari, son of Muhammadu Laofe Dan Bawa. She was also the mother of Prince Modibbo Sulu-Gambari, the late Hafsah Mayaki Sulu-Gambari, Mariam Sulu-Gambari and Gafar Sulu-Gambari.
IEYDA commiserated with the Royal family, particularly the children and other members of Sulu-Gambari dynasty, praying that Allah grant them the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
The Association prayed that Allah forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept her good deeds and grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
IEYDA also prayed for continued peace, strength and divine comfort for the entire Ilorin Emirate during this period of mourning. May Allah grant Her Highness eternal rest and make Al-Jannatul Firdaus her final abode.
