
IEYDA National President Leads Strategic Engagement with Balogun Gambari Ward Development, Reaffirms Commitment to Grassroots Development
The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, led a delegation of the Association on a strategic community engagement visit to the Balogun Gambari Ward Development, as part of IEYDA’s continued efforts to strengthen grassroots partnerships and promote sustainable development across the Ilorin Emirate.
In a statement by the Association on Saturday, the IEYDA delegation was warmly received by the Chairman of the Association, Engr. Awodi Muhammed Ayodele, alongside members of the executive committee and other distinguished community stakeholders.
In his response, the Chairman of Balogun Gambari Ward Development, Engr. Awodi Muhammed Ayodele, appreciated the IEYDA delegation for the visit and commended the Association for its sustained commitment to community engagement and development across the Ilorin Emirate.
He expressed the Association’s readiness to strengthen its partnership with IEYDA and support programmes and initiatives that will positively impact the lives of residents, particularly young people and other vulnerable members of the community.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both organisations to exchange ideas, identify pressing community needs, and explore practical areas of collaboration capable of contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic development and wellbeing of the people.
During the interactive meeting, extensive discussions were held on critical issues affecting the community, including youth development and empowerment, education, employment opportunities, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, community security, healthcare, environmental sanitation, infrastructure, social welfare, peacebuilding, cultural values, and greater grassroots participation in development initiatives.
Alhaji Jagunmo reaffirmed IEYDA’s readiness to collaborate with Balogun Gambari Ward Development and other relevant stakeholders on initiatives that will advance youth empowerment, education, economic opportunities, security, social welfare, community infrastructure, and peaceful coexistence.
He further emphasised the importance of unity within the Ilorin Emirate, urging community leaders and stakeholders to continue working together in the collective interest of the Emirate and its people.
