
IEYDA Strengthens Ties with NCC to Boost Youth Digital Empowerment
The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), led by its National President, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, has paid a strategic visit to the headquarters of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in Abuja.

The visit, held under the auspices of the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, underscored IEYDA’s commitment to harnessing opportunities in the nation’s digital economy for the benefit of youths in the Ilorin Emirate.
Discussions between IEYDA and NCC harped on key areas including digital inclusion, training, capacity building, and youth access to ICT-driven opportunities. The engagement also explored emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to foster entrepreneurship and socio-economic growth among the youth.
Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Jagunmo explained the importance of the partnership. “Partnering with NCC opens avenues for our youths to tap into Nigeria’s dynamic telecoms and digital spaces,” he said.
The IEYDA delegation expressed appreciation for the NCC’s warm reception and reiterated its readiness to translate the discussions into impactful programs for the Emirate’s youthful population, with the guidance and blessings of the Emir of Ilorin.
