
INSECURITY: FARMER GOVERNOR BAGO SYMPATHISES WITH THE PEOPLE OF SHIRORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.
Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago condoles with the people of Shiroro local government area over banditry attacks on Erena, Bagna, and Yelwa communities that claimed lives and destroyed homes as well as livelihoods.
In a condolence message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the farmer governor describes the renewed attacks as heinous and callous.
He condemns in totality the attacks, saying it is indeed a setback to the government’s efforts on security.
According to the farmer governor, “These renewed attacks on our people are heart wrenching. I deeply sympathise with the entire people of Shiroro and most especially the affected communities over the unfortunate and unwarranted attacks on them”.
“I want to assure you that you are not alone , I share in your pains as well as losses”, he added.
The farmer governor, while commending the joint security team for mobilising and engaging the bandits,also condoles with families of those that paid the supreme price.
He asserts that his administration will never surrender to bandits and that support to security agencies will continue to be prioritised for improved and proactive security operations across the state.
The farmer governor appealed for calm among the people and the need to be more vigilant and promptly provide credible intelligence to security agencies to avert a repeat of such attacks.
