The Day ASAMU 1 Made History in Kano

History can only be made by great people in the society.It does not matter whether they are rich or not,
and greatness can be said to be in- built according to some scholars.Such people can’t be said to have small minds.They see beyond their backyards and they’re responsive to societal needs.
In this piece I will be using impactful and great interchangeably for smooth understanding and easy flow of my ideas.Impacful or great people are everywhere and not everywhere at the same time.God in His infinite mercy has created us with different minds, traits,and aspirations.
Some people are great but their impacts are infinitesimal, while some are great and their impacts are also tremendous.
The categories where I will place that Business tycoon and Philanthropist,Alh Dr Adewuyi Surajudeen Muhammad Usman also known as ASAMU 1,are those whose greatness commensurate with their impacts.
On 25th April,2026 ,ASAMU 1 made history in the city of Kano where he led the Foundation Laying of Ilorin Emirate Descendant Progressive Union (IEDPU) Multi-million Naira Secretariat Project.On the same day he pledged additional 5 million naira to support the project.It would be recalled that earlier he had donated 10 million naira for the project during the launching sometimes ago.
During the historic Foundation Laying, he made some salient points by encouraging others to contribute immensely in order to achieve quick completion of the project.The Multi-million Naira Secretariat is expected to have mosque, Madrasa(Islamic School)and shopping Complex.
I have never met Dr but I have heard a lot from his Media Aide, Kamardeen Bamidele, who has been a good brother and friend since our days in Bayero University, Kano as Mass Communication students.But my communication with him via WhatsApp and call have endeared him to me because of his simplicity, humility, and generosity.May Allah sustain him on the path of good.
It will go down in history that ASAMU 1 who is from Offa in Kwara State has given tremendous push for the project of Ilorin Emirate Indigenes in the city of Kano.He has been the highest donor for the project so far.This is unprecedented.Certainly,he has written his name in gold.
On a lighter note,I never knew Dr ASAMU 1 is a prayer warrior as well, until I watched the video of the event where he was carrying out the Foundation Laying.Prayer is good as they say,it can catapult one to a place where no adversary can dare reach.
Let me intimate those who don’t know Dr,his name rings a bell among the Yoruba community in Kano.Do you know why?He has been there for them whenever they needed his support and assistance.
He has provided financial Assistance to law school students and supported Muslim organisations.If you are working with him,he will elevate you to a monumental status.
Significantly,If you want to know more about Dr ASAMU 1, Yoruba community in Kano can tell a better story about him.
I pray that Allah continues to guide him.
